Burradoo has issues with receiving Digital Television reception due to the undulating hills and dense trees between houses and the Television Tower on mount Gibraltar. There are pockets of poor reception in low lying areas with heavy tree foliage.
Dependant on the TV field strength meter testing I may direct the TV antenna to the Knights Hill transmitter or the Gibb Transmitter. Digital Television reception in Burradoo may require High Gain Antennas and TV Boosters.

Burrawang is closer to the Television tower at Knights Hill, a powerful Television tower that serves the Southern Highlands and South Coast well. Usually only a local UHF Digital Television Aerial is needed to pick up TV reception in Burrawang.

If you’re on a Hill at Canyonleigh the Digital Television reception is usually reasonable to good. If you’re in a hollow and you live further out along tugalong road it can be nearly impossible to receive Digital TV reception. Kangaloon is very hilly and it really depends which side of the Hill you’re on as to where you receive your TV reception from one of the three TV towers Sydney, Gibb and Knights Hill can usually supply good Digital Television reception in the Kangaloon area.

Marulan is on the edge distance wise from the Knights Hill Towers transmission powers. In Marulan it requires a High Gain UHF Antenna and High Gain Masthead amplifier with possible telescopic masts to increase the height of the antenna to receive Digital TV reception in Marulan.

Medway has reasonable reception from the Knights Hill Digital Television Tower. A local UHF Television aerial and possible TV Masthead amplifier should supply good reception.

Mittagong receives its Digital TV reception from the Gibb transmitter and usually a Standard UHF digital antenna is all that is needed to receive reception. The area of Mittagong that is tucked under the Gibb and around the corner at the back of Frensham can have problems receiving Digital TV from the Gibb Television Tower. Usually I have been able to pick up Digital Television from Sydney in these areas of Mittagong.

Moss Vale receives its TV reception from both Knights Hill and the Gibb. It Depends where you live on in Moss Vale to which TV transmitter you will use. Moss Vale has both the worst TV reception and The best TV reception due to the Hills and Valleys in the town If your house is located on the southern side of a hill and in a valley the reception can be very poor likewise if your on the northern side of a hill the Television reception is perfect. Moss Vale requires a UHF Digital Television Antenna and possible Masthead amplifier dependant on location

In general New Berrima receives its Digital TV reception from the Knights Hill TV transmitter. New Berrima is on a plateau in the Village and the Digital Television signal is reasonably strong. Usually this requires a UHF Digital TV Antenna to receive TV reception.

If you’re in a hollow, you live on the back side or Marulan side of a hill road it can be nearly impossible to receive Digital TV reception. Kangaroo Valley is quite bizarre when it comes to TV reception. The main town in general receives reasonable Digital Television Reception from the Knights Hill Television Transmitter but you will still require a High Gain UHF Digital TV Antenna and High Gain Digital Television Amplifier to ensure a constant reliable reception. When it comes to trying to find reception up the many Valleys I would say it can be impossible but in a lot of cases I have been able to point the antenna at a cliff in the opposite direction and receive reasonable Digital TV Reception.

Wingello is much the same as Penrose which receives its TV reception from the Knights Hill Tower. Wingello is flat but has a lot of trees in the area. In Wingello it requires a High Gain UHF Television Antenna and High Gain Masthead amplifier with possible telescopic masts to increase the height of the antenna to receive Digital TV reception.
